Marte (knee) will report to Single-A St. Lucie on Monday to begin a rehab assignment, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
He's expected to move his rehab up to Double-A Binghamton by the end of next week. While the Mets haven't revealed a target date for Marte's return, the team could be eyeing the start of its homestand Aug. 13 for the outfielder to come off the 10-day injured list. Marte has been sidelined since late June with a right knee bone bruise.
