Dahl (quadriceps) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A El Paso on Friday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Dahl has been on the injured list for just over a month due to a right quadriceps strain, but he's been cleared to return to game action at the minor-league level. Given the length of his absence, it wouldn't be surprising to see Dahl appear in multiple games with the Triple-A club before rejoining the Padres.
