Robertson has been informed he made the Opening Day roster, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The young shortstop earned the spot with a productive spring camp, batting .268 with five RBI in 23 Grapefruit League games. He'll likely serve as a utility man in a crowded Rays infield, so don't expect much production in his first major-league season. Robertson hit .259/.358/.356 with 43 RBI at Triple-A Durham last season, but also compiled 100 strikeouts.
