Martin was outrighted to Triple-A Pawtucket on Tuesday, Tim Britton of The Providence Journal reports.

Martin will report to Pawtucket -- where he compiled a 4.36 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 53.2 innings earlier in the season -- after passing through waivers untouched. He made just two appearances for the Red Sox this season, allowing one run in 2.1 innings of work. Martin will serve as organizational bullpen depth moving forward.
