Powell was named to Cincinnati's 60-man roster pool Sunday.
The 27-year-old joined the Reds on a minor-league deal in January and will get the chance to make an impression at spring training 2.0. Powell had a .288/.391/.438 slash line in 105 games at Triple-A El Paso in 2019.
