The Reds signed Baker to a minor-league contract Sunday and assigned him to Double-A Chattanooga.
Baker will make his return to affiliated ball for the first time since 2018, when he made 34 relief appearances for the Dodgers' Double-A team in Tulsa. The 29-year-old never advanced past Double-A ball after he was selected by Cleveland in the fifth round of the 2012 first-year player draft.
