Donovan Walton 2B | ATH
Athletics' Donovan Walton: Taking seat Monday
Walton is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rangers.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Playing time could be cut
The Tigers could reduce Torres' playing time down the stretch, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
John Peck has been called up and will be given ample playing time at shortstop. That will push Kevin McGonigle to third base most days and could result in Hao-Yu Lee seeing the lion's share of reps at second base. Torres has been productive this season when healthy, slashing .261/.364/.383. However, he's an impending free agent and the Tigers, with the playoffs looking like a long shot, want to give younger players a longer look. Torres is starting Monday's game in Minnesota at second base and is batting leadoff.

Nick Sogard 2B | BOS
Red Sox's Nick Sogard: Moves to first base mid-game
Sogard moved from second to first base in the seventh inning Sunday after Willson Contreras was removed with a hamstring injury. The former went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Sogard survived Sunday's roster transactions to accommodate the returns for Trevor Story and Roman Anthony. He should share second base with Andruw Monasterio for now but could lose out when Isiah Kiner-Falefa (forearm) is ready to return.

Jorge Mateo SS | TB
Rays' Jorge Mateo: Swipes three bases, delivers walk-off
Mateo went 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and three stolen bases in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Padres.
Mateo drew a walk in the fifth inning before stealing second and third on consecutive pitches, then added another steal after beginning the 10th as the automatic runner to complete the first three-steal game of his career. The middle infielder now owns 15 stolen bases this season. He capped the night in dramatic fashion with a walk-off RBI single in the 11th. Through his first three games with the Rays, Mateo is 1-for-8 at the plate.

Luke Keaschall 2B | MIN
Twins' Luke Keaschall: Launches ninth home run
Keaschall went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 5-1 win over the White Sox.
Keaschall extended Minnesota's lead in the seventh inning by launching a 411-foot solo homer, his ninth long ball of the season. Five of those homers have come in August, during which Keaschall has hit .326 across 25 games. The strong month has helped him maintain a .274/.364/.390 slash line through 128 games this season.

Jackson Holliday 2B | BAL
Orioles' Jackson Holliday: Receiving day off
Holiday is out of the lineup for Sunday's affair with the A's.
With southpaw Jeffrey Springs on the mound for the Athletics, the left-handed-hitting Holliday will receive a breather for the final game of a three-game set. Blaze Alexander will lead off and play second base for Baltimore.

Ernie Clement 2B | TOR
Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Exiting starting nine Sunday
Clement is absent from the lineup for Toronto's matchup with Seattle on Sunday.
Clement has gone 0-for-8 with two strikeouts over the first two games of the series, prompting Toronto to give him a day off. Charles McAdoo will man second base and bat eighth.

Anthony Seigler 2B | BOS
Red Sox's Anthony Seigler: Demoted to Triple-A
The Red Sox optioned Seigler to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.
Seigler will give up his spot on the active roster to Trevor Story (sports hernia), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list. Over 171 plate appearances in the big leagues this season, Seigler has slashed .250/.331/.405 with three home runs, two steals, 21 runs and 13 RBI.
