  • Tommy White 1B | ATH

Athletics' Tommy White: Riding pine Saturday

White isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners.

White has notched a hit in back-to-back games, but the A's will keep him on the bench to begin Saturday's contest. Jeff McNeil will shift to first base to cover for White, opening up the keystone for Donovan Walton.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Returns from injured list

The Rangers reinstated Jung (calf) from the injured list Saturday.

Jung has been sidelined for almost all of the second half due to a left calf strain, but he was cleared to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A on Tuesday and has since gone 3-for-15 with a homer in four games. Now fully healthy, he figures to reclaim his job as Texas' everyday third baseman. Logan O'Hoppe was sent down to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

  • Royals' Maikel Garcia: Begins rehab stint

Garcia (hamstring) went 1-for-5 with an RBI in a rehab game with Triple-A Omaha on Friday.

After playing five innings at third base Thursday, Garcia served as the designated hitter Friday in his second rehab game while recovering from a left hamstring strain. It's been a disappointing 2026 campaign for the 26-year-old, who has dealt with multiple injuries and is slashing .269/.324/.385 with three homers, 32 RBI, 34 runs and five stolen bases in 73 contests. How much time he'll need on his rehab assignment hasn't been specified, but if no setbacks emerge with the hamstring, Garcia could be back with the Royals in the next few days.

  • Coby Mayo 3B | BAL

Orioles' Coby Mayo: Goes deep at Rogers Centre

Mayo went 1-for-5 with a solo home run during Friday's 7-4 win against Toronto.

Mayo's solo homer off Braydon Fisher in the seventh inning put the Orioles up 7-2. Mayo has four home runs in as many games and is up to 23 long balls on the year, which is second-most on the Orioles behind Pete Alonso (34 homers). Mayo has a .757 OPS with three steals and 60 RBI over 398 plate appearances this season.

  • Kazuma Okamoto 3B | TOR

Blue Jays' Kazuma Okamoto: Goes deep again

Okamoto went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run during the Blue Jays' 7-4 loss to the Orioles on Friday.

Okamoto put the Blue Jays on the board in the fourth inning with a solo home run off Chris Bassitt. Okamoto has gone deep in three of his last four games and is up to 31 homers on the year, which is tied for 10th-most in the majors. The 30-year-old's power at the plate in his first MLB season has been a big reason why the Blue Jays are still in playoff contention, especially given Vladimir Guerrero's struggles.

  • Rays' Junior Caminero: Comes up clutch with 40th homer

Caminero went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 3-1 win over the Astros.

Caminero reached the 40-homer mark for the second straight season in dramatic fashion, launching a walk-off blast in the bottom of the ninth inning to clinch a playoff berth for the Rays. The 23-year-old slugger has now gone deep in three of his past six games, becoming the first player in the American League to reach 40 long balls this season. Overall, he's slashing .279/.365/.534 with 95 RBI, 90 runs scored and three steals across 643 plate appearances.

  • Denzer Guzman 3B | LAA

Angels' Denzer Guzman: Snaps slump with three hits, including homer

Guzman went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored Wednesday in a 6-4 victory over Boston.

Guzman entered the contest in the midst of a rough patch that included a .145 batting average and a 34.5 percent strikeout rate over his past 19 games. The 22-year-old infielder broke out of that slump with his first multi-hit game since Aug. 13 and his first long ball since Aug. 20. Guzman has started just three times in the Angels' past seven games, so he's not an appealing fantasy asset at the moment given his lack of consistent playing time and his recent cold stretch.

  • Cody Freeman 3B | TEX

Rangers' Cody Freeman: Not in lineup Thursday

Freeman is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Seattle.

After making 17 consecutive starts, Freeman has now been out of the Rangers' lineup for two of three games this series. Freeman is just 3-for-21 at the plate thus far in September. The Rangers will go with Ezequiel Duran at third base and Nicky Lopez at second base.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Astros' Isaac Paredes: Hot start to September

Paredes went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 11-7 loss to Philadelphia.

Paredes is off to a quick start in September, hitting safely in all but one of his first eight games for the month. The third baseman has a pair of three-RBI efforts in his past four outings as well, recording at least one RBI in five of his last eight contests. Through 591 plate appearances, Paredes is slashing a healthy .260/.360/.427 with 19 homers, 25 doubles, 82 RBI and 59 runs scored.

  • Coby Mayo 3B | BAL

Orioles' Coby Mayo: Cracks homer Wednesday

Mayo went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Wednesday's 9-5 win over Cleveland.

Mayo gave the Orioles a four-run cushion in the sixth with a solo homer, the third deep ball that he's hit in as many games. He's reached base safely in 13 of his last 14 contests, and over that span he has gone 14-for-47 (.298) with one steal, five home runs, 12 RBI and 12 runs scored.
