Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Sitting again versus lefty
Baty is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest in Philadelphia.
The left-handed-hitting Baty has now been out of the lineup each of the last five times the Mets have faced a southpaw. He hadn't previously been in a strict platoon, but the Mets are changing things up as they hope to awaken a dormant offense. Mark Vientos will play third base Wednesday while Starling Marte occupies the designated hitter slot.

Graham Pauley 3B | MIA
Marlins' Graham Pauley: Kicking off rehab assignment
Pauley (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Pauley has been on the shelf for more than three weeks with a right oblique strain but has been cleared to return to game action. He will play third base for Jacksonville on Wednesday and shouldn't need too many rehab contests before being activated from the 10-day injured list. Pauley will beat Connor Norby (quadriceps) back from the IL, so the former should be the Marlins' primary third baseman when he returns, at least until the latter is ready.

Luke Adams 3B | MIL
Brewers' Luke Adams: Healthy again at Double-A
Adams (shoulder) went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts in his return to the Double-A Biloxi lineup Tuesday after being reinstated from the 7-day injured list.
Adams was back in action for Biloxi for the first time since June 20 after a left shoulder contusion kept him out for an extended period. He was cleared to rejoin the Double-A club after recently wrapping up a nine-game rehab assignment at High-A Wisconsin, during which he slashed .200/.475/.280. During his time with Biloxi this season, Adams has produced a .411 on-base percentage while slugging 11 home runs and stealing 10 bases across 263 plate appearances.

Caleb Durbin 3B | MIL
Brewers' Caleb Durbin: Pair of steals Tuesday
Durbin went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers.
Durbin logged multiple stolen bases for the third time this season, bringing his season total to 15 steals. The infielder is in the midst of a minor cold spell at the plate, having just one hit in his last 14 at-bats. He's slashing .253/.327/.386 in 443 plate appearances in 2025.

Otto Kemp 3B | PHI
Phillies' Otto Kemp: Homers, steals bag
Kemp went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's win against the Mets.
Kemp's solo shot in the second inning was his fifth of the year and first since July 27. He was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday and has since started two games at third base. Kemp is seemingly the everyday option at the hot corner while Alec Bohm (shoulder) is out. Kemp is slashing .233/.310/.380 with 12 extra-base hits through 48 MLB games.

Pedro Ramirez 3B | CHC
Cubs' Pedro Ramirez: Strong showing at Double-A
Ramirez is hitting .278 with eight home runs, 28 steals and a 15.2 percent strikeout rate in 127 games for Double-A Knoxville.
The switch-hitting infielder has split the year between second and third base for the Smokies, and while he hasn't hit for much power (.108 ISO, .386 SLG), Ramirez has still been 17 percent better than the average Southern League hitter while being the fifth-youngest qualified hitter in the league. He cut his groundball rate from 53.8 percent at High-A last year to 48.9 percent this year at Double-A, but that rate is still too high if Ramirez is to get the most out of his raw power. Ramirez may begin his big-league career as a reserve infielder, but his speed and contact skill make him worth tracking in dynasty leagues.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Giants' Matt Chapman: Belts homer in win
Chapman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Monday's 11-5 win over the Diamondbacks.
Chapman has gone 9-for-18 with three homers and six RBI over his last five games since he was ejected from last Tuesday's game in Colorado. He still has an active appeal for a one-game suspension from that contest, though it's possible he could drop the appeal to sit out a game when he's next due for rest. The third baseman is up to 21 homers, 56 RBI, 66 runs scored, nine stolen bases and a .241/.351/.457 slash line through 111 games this season.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Activated from IL, starting Monday
The Dodgers activated Muncy (oblique) from the 10-day injured list, and he'll start at third base and bat out of the cleanup spot against the Rockies on Monday.
Muncy landed on the 10-day IL in mid-August due to a right oblique strain. He went 2-for-7 with two walks in three rehab games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, and the veteran third baseman has progressed enough in his recovery to return to the Dodgers' lineup for Monday's series opener. Catcher Chuckie Robinson was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Jordan Lawlar SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Jordan Lawlar: Losing reps to Alexander
Lawlar is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in San Francisco.
Blaze Alexander is starting at third base Monday, marking the third time over the last four contests versus right-handed pitching that he's started at the hot corner. Lawlar is 4-for-22 with a 9:0 K:BB in seven games since being recalled from Triple-A Reno.
