  • Jacob Melton LF | TB

Rays' Jacob Melton: Out for season

The Rays recalled Melton from Triple-A Durham and placed him on the 60-day injured list Tuesday due to a right hamstring strain.

The 26-year-old missed most of August due to a right hamstring strain and appears to have aggravated the injury, which will bring an early end to his 2026 campaign. Melton was acquired from the Astros last winter and was limited to 45 games during his first year in the Rays organization. However, he was productive for Triple-A Durham when available, finishing with a .253/.346/.475 slash line, seven homers and 26 stolen bases.

  • Jake Fraley RF | TB

Rays' Jake Fraley: Reinstated from 60-day injured list

The Rays activated Fraley (hernia) from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Fraley is finally ready to return after completing his rehab from May hernia surgery. Victor Mesa has emerged as the Rays' primary right fielder, leaving the 31-year-old Fraley without a clear path to regular playing time.

  • Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Enters mid-game Monday

Schneemann went 0-for-1 in his lone plate appearance during Monday's 7-3 loss to the White Sox.

Schneemann entered the game after Angel Martinez was pulled in the seventh inning with a side injury. Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt said the decision to pull Martinez was precautionary. Schneemann has not yet started a game since his return to the majors Sept. 1 and is 1-for-6 with an RBI and three strikeouts in fill-in work.

  • Aaron Judge RF | NYY

Yankees' Aaron Judge: Clubs first homer since late May

Judge went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Monday in an 8-3 victory against Minnesota.

Judge was hitless with two strikeouts through three plate appearances, but he rescued his stat line in a big way by clobbering a 415-foot, three-run homer to left field in the eighth inning. It was his first long ball in his sixth game since returning Sept. 8 from a three-plus-month stay on the injured list. Judge is slated to get a day off Wednesday, but he should still have ample time to shake off any residual rust ahead of the postseason after the Yankees clinched a playoff berth with Monday's victory.

  • Jose Siri LF | LAA

Angels' Jose Siri: Tallies three hits in win

Siri went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored and a steal in Monday's 6-4 win over the Mariners.

Siri started the scoring with an RBI double in the first inning and added a pair of singles afterward, including an RBI knock in the third. The outfielder has been productive of late, slashing .368/.400/.632 with a homer, five RBI, three runs and a stolen base over his past seven games. On the year, the 31-year-old is hitting .234/.290/.406 with eight homers, 28 RBI, 32 runs and seven stolen bases in 96 contests.

  • Orioles' Christian Franklin: Sent on rehab assignment

Franklin (hand) went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Sunday's rehab game with Triple-A Norfolk.

Out since the beginning of September with left hand inflammation, Franklin has been sent on a minor-league rehab assignment and is tracking toward rejoining the Baltimore roster before the end of the season. He had gone just 5-for-34 (.147) with a pair of doubles and steals in 16 games for the Orioles before going on the injured list.

  • RJ Schreck LF | TOR

Blue Jays' RJ Schreck: Returns from 60-day IL

Schreck (wrist) was activated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Schreck was placed on the shelf June 7 due to a left wrist sprain, and it took him quite some time to return to health. He hasn't been sharp at the dish since his return to Triple-A Buffalo, as he's gone 1-for-10 with three walks in four games after being activated Tuesday.

  • Angel Martinez LF | CLE

Guardians' Angel Martinez: Exits with side injury

Martinez was removed from Monday's game against the White Sox due to right side inflammation, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Martinez left the matchup after striking out in the seventh inning. He'll presumably be re-evaluated Tuesday to determine whether a trip to the injured list is necessary.

  • Aaron Judge RF | NYY

Yankees' Aaron Judge: Day off expected Wednesday

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Monday that he tentatively plans to give Judge a day off for Wednesday's series finale in Minnesota, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.

The Yankees have eased Judge back into full-time duty since he returned from a three-plus month absence, giving him one day off and pulling him early from two games last week. Boone plans to give the slugger one more day off Wednesday, and after that Judge is expected to be full-go. Judge is 3-for-17 with a 1:9 BB:K in five contests since returning from his rib injury.

  • Trevor Larnach LF | MIN

Twins' Trevor Larnach: Dealing with wrist injury

Larnach is dealing with left wrist soreness and will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

It's unclear when the injury flared up for Larnach, who has gone 6-for-13 with two solo home runs and an additional run scored over his last three outings. The MRI will provide the Twins' medical staff with more information to determine a recovery timeline for the 29-year-old outfielder, though a stint on the IL would likely mean the end to Larnach's 2026 regular season. The Twins are starting Emmanuel Rodriguez, Walker Jenkins and Luke Keaschall from left to right in Monday's series opener against the Yankees and right-hander Will Warren.
