Joshua Lowe LF | LAA
Angels' Josh Lowe: Scratched with stiff neck
Lowe was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees due to neck stiffness.
Lowe has gone 5-for-19 with five walks and three steals over his last seven games, but the Angels will be without his services Wednesday as he recovers from his neck issue. Jose Siri will replace him as the Halos' left fielder and bat seventh.

Ceddanne Rafaela CF | BOS
Red Sox's Ceddanne Rafaela: Exits game with quad tightness
Rafaela was removed from Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the Mariners due to quadriceps tightness, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
Rafaela was playing through the issue before being taken out in the seventh inning with the Red Sox facing a large deficit. Given that the move was a precautionary one, the 25-year-old center fielder can be considered day-to-day heading into Thursday's pivotal series opener against the Orioles. Eli White, Jahmai Jones and Roman Anthony would all be in line for more work in the outfield if Rafaela were to miss time.

Lazaro Montes RF | SEA
Mariners' Lazaro Montes: Sitting versus southpaw
Montes is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Boston.
Montes homered as part of a two-hit day in his major-league debut Tuesday, but the left-handed batter will not start Wednesday as the Red Sox send southpaw Patrick Sandoval to the bump. Taylor Ward is in right field for the Mariners, and he will likely continue to platoon with Montes between that position and designated hitter.

Victor Mesa Jr. RF | TB
Rays' Victor Mesa: Three hits in return to lineup Tuesday
Mesa went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Mets.
With Jonny DeLuca getting the nod in center field against southpaw Sean Manaea and Ryan Vilade manning first base in place of Jonathan Aranda, Mesa was the last man standing on the right field depth chart. He made only his second start of the season against a same-handed pitcher and came through with a surprisingly productive effort, tying his season high in hits and crossing the plate in the third and eighth innings. It was Mesa's first game action since Aug. 18 due to a hamstring strain, but he may be able to escape getting pigeon-holed as a platoon player if he keeps it up -- over 48 career plate appearances against left-handed pitching, the 24-year-old has a .302/.348/.465 slash line and just a 14.6 percent strikeout rate.

Brandon Nimmo RF | TEX
Rangers' Brandon Nimmo: Drives in five runs
Nimmo went 4-for-5 with a double and five RBI in Tuesday's 8-5 victory over the Athletics.
The five runs driven in were a season high for Nimmo, who also matched his previous season-high mark in hits in a single game. The veteran outfielder is carrying a four-game hitting streak with three multi-hit performances over that stretch. After a mini slump in mid-August in which he hit .087 with a .266 OPS in 12 games between Aug. 12 and Aug. 24, he's bounced back admirably. In his last seven games, Nimmo is hitting .429 with a 1.094 OPS.

Austin Slater RF | TB
Rays' Austin Slater: Re-ups with Rays on MiLB deal
The Rays re-signed Slater to a minor-league contract Tuesday.
Slater opted out of his minor-league deal with the Rays last week, but he was ultimately re-signed to a new deal. The veteran outfielder has hit .305/.407/.453 in 35 games with Triple-A Durham but has managed just a .231/.311/.277 batting line across 28 contests between three different big-league teams this season.

Wade Meckler LF | LAA
Angels' Wade Meckler: Delivers three hits
Meckler went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Yankees.
Meckler has gone 8-for-17 (.471) over five games since coming off the concussion injured list. The outfielder has returned to a steady role in the corner outfield for the Angels. He's batting .302 with a .770 OPS, three home runs, six stolen bases, 23 RBI, 32 runs scored and 11 doubles over 75 contests this season as one of the bright spots in a weak lineup.

Cody Bellinger LF | NYY
Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Posts three hits in win
Bellinger went 3-for-5 with two runs scored in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Angels.
This was Bellinger's third multi-hit effort in a row. He's been locked in at the plate since coming back from a hamstring injury, going 12-for-40 (.300) over his last 10 games. Bellinger is hitting .263 with a .765 OPS, 12 home runs, 59 RBI, 59 runs scored, 22 doubles, three triples and 10 stolen bases over 112 contests this season.

Spencer Jones CF | NYY
Yankees' Spencer Jones: Productive again in win
Jones went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, two walks, a third RBI, a stolen base and a second run scored in Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Angels.
Jones has homered in back-to-back games, and he logged his first multi-hit effort since Aug. 23. The 25-year-old outfielder has homered in four of his last 13 contests. For the season, he's batting .245 with a .771 OPS, nine long balls, 28 RBI, 27 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple and nine stolen bases on 11 attempts over 66 games. He's seeing a little more than a strong-side platoon role heading into the stretch run.

Randy Arozarena LF | SEA
Mariners' Randy Arozarena: Cracks three-run homer
Arozarena went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer during Tuesday's 9-6 win over the Red Sox.
Jedixson Paez made his major-league debut Tuesday, but the Mariners jumped on the Red Sox's 22-year-old right-hander with five runs in the second inning, three of which came off the bat of Arozarena on a homer over the Green Monster. Arozarena has gone 5-for-10 with two home runs, seven RBI and four runs scored through the first two games of the series against Boston. For the season, he has an .837 OPS with 20 steals, 22 home runs and 65 RBI over 566 plate appearances.
