Tommy Troy LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Tommy Troy: Likely out 3-to-4 weeks
Manager Torey Lovullo said Friday that Troy (shoulder) is expected to remain out for roughly 3-to-4 weeks, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.
A sprained AC joint in Troy's right shoulder caused him to move to the injured list Wednesday, and it now seems like he won't be able to make it back before the end of the month. The 24-year-old had been getting opportunities to start in center field with Jordan Lawlar (hamstring) on the shelf, but those reps will now likely be passed on to Ryan Waldschmidt and Jorge Barrosa.

Bryan Torres LF | STL
Cardinals' Bryan Torres: On bench Friday
Torres isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Torres will grab a seat in the dugout to begin the second half after going just 2-for-20 with eight strikeouts across his final 10 games before the break. Lars Nootbaar, Nathan Church and Jordan Walker will start across the outfield for St. Louis while Torres rests.

Jacob Young CF | WAS
Nationals' Jacob Young: Back in action Friday
Young (hand) will start in center field and bat eighth Friday against the Athletics.
Young has missed five of the Nationals' 10 games since the beginning of July due to a left hand injury, but he appears to be feeling better after getting four days off to heal during the All-Star break. The 26-year-old outfielder has gone 4-for-13 with three walks, an RBI, two runs and a steal this month when healthy, and he'll aim to remain hot to begin the second half.

Cole Carrigg CF | COL
Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Exiting starting nine
Carrigg is absent from the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Reds.
Carrigg went 0-for-14 with seven strikeouts in his last five games before the All-Star break and will begin the first game of the second half on the bench. Mickey Moniak, Jake McCarthy and Tyler Freeman will patrol the outfield for the Rockies in Friday's series opener.

Ronald Acuna Jr. RF | ATL
Braves' Ronald Acuna: Might return for homestand
Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said Friday that he hopes Acuna (hamstring) will be ready to return from the 10-day injured list before the end of the team's homestand next Thursday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Acuna has played three rehab games in the rookie-level Florida Complex League and was transferred to Triple-A Gwinnett earlier Friday to continue his rehab assignment. He was used in the designated hitter slot for all three contests in the FCL, and Atlanta likely needs to see Acuna play right field before reinstating him from the IL. Acuna has been shelved since early June due to a Grade 1 left hamstring strain.

Brewer Hicklen RF | ATL
Braves' Brewer Hicklen: Second straight start in right
Hicklen will start in right field and bat ninth in Friday's game versus the Rangers.
Hicklen has started in right field against two straight right-handers since he was called up last weekend. However, with Ronald Acuna (hamstring) due back from the injured list any day now, Hicklen could either head to the bench or back to the minors soon.

Ronald Acuna Jr. RF | ATL
Braves' Ronald Acuna: Moving rehab up to Triple-A
Acuna's (hamstring) rehab assignment was transferred to Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.
Acuna went 1-for-7 with a grand slam in three rehab games at the rookie-level Florida Complex League and will now test things out against a higher level of competition. He was used in the designated hitter slot for all three contests in the FCL, and it's unclear when Acuna will be worked back into things in right field. Atlanta has not revealed a target date for Acuna's return to the active roster, but it should happen soon.
