Wyatt Olds RP | BOS
Red Sox's Wyatt Olds: Summoned to big club
The Red Sox recalled Olds from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.
Olds will return to bolster the Boston bullpen on the final day of the regular season. The right-hander has made 13 appearances out of the Red Sox's bullpen this year in his first taste of the majors, posting an impressive 1.20 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB in 15 innings.

Jose Urquidy RP | PHI
Phillies' Jose Urquidy: DFA'd by Philadelphia
The Phillies designated Urquidy for assignment Sunday.
Urquidy made one appearance during his brief time in Philadelphia, allowing three runs over 2.2 innings in Saturday's loss to the Rays. He's clearing off the active roster to make room for the return of Jesus Luzardo (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list.

Jesse Scholtens RP | TB
Rays' Jesse Scholtens: Returns to majors
The Rays recalled Scholtens from Triple-A Durham on Sunday.
After spending the past five-plus weeks in the minors, Scholtens will return for the final day of the regular season, replacing Ty Johnson in the Rays' bullpen. Scholtens has been serviceable in 11 appearances (two starts) with Tampa Bay this season, posting a 4.03 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 34:14 K:BB in 44.2 innings, though he doesn't figure to be part of the playoff roster.

Ty Johnson RP | TB
Rays' Ty Johnson: Optioned to minors
The Rays optioned Johnson to Triple-A Durham on Sunday.
Johnson was swapped out for a fresh arm in Jesse Scholtens after making his first eight career MLB appearances in September. While the strikeout punch Johnson showed in the minors carried over to his first stint in the majors, he may need more time back on the farm to begin 2027 before taking on a more permanent role in Tampa Bay.

Jefry Yan RP | NYM
Mets' Jefry Yan: Returns to majors
The Mets recalled Yan from the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Sunday.
Yan was just sent packing Saturday but will return for the final day of the season as a replacement for Jonathan Pintaro (illness). Perhaps best known for his eccentric strikeout celebrations, Yan has turned in a 4.87 ERA, 1.72 WHIP and 26:15 K:BB in 20.1 innings spanning 18 appearances so far in his first big-league season.

Jonathan Pintaro RP | NYM
Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Lands on IL with illness
The Mets placed Pintaro on the 15-day injured list Sunday with an illness.
The unspecified illness will end Pintaro's campaign, opening the door for Jefry Yan to return to the active roster for the final day of the season. Pintaro made 22 appearances out of the Mets' bullpen in 2026, posting a 5.28 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 30:16 K:BB with three holds in 30.2 innings.

Seth Johnson RP | ATH
Athletics' Seth Johnson: Serving as opener Sunday
Johnson will serve as the Athletics' opening pitcher for Sunday's game against the Astros, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Sunday is Brady Basso's turn in the rotation, so the Athletics may look to use him in bulk relief once Johnson exits the contest. Johnson has worked exclusively as a reliever this season between stops in the big leagues with the Phillies and Athletics, maxing out at 2.2 innings and 50 pitches over his 27 appearances.

Kirby Yates RP | PIT
Pirates' Kirby Yates: Announces retirement
Yates announced his retirement from Major League Baseball following Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Tigers.
Yates wrapped up his 12-year MLB career with 1.2 scoreless innings as the opener Saturday, allowing two hits while striking out one batter. He made 46 appearances this season between the Angels and Pirates, posting a 3.19 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 49:17 K:BB over 42.1 innings. The right-hander also tallied three saves to bring his career total to 101, with 41 of those saves coming in 2019 when he led the majors in the category.

Carson Seymour RP | SF
Giants' Carson Seymour: Drawing start in bullpen game
Seymour is slated to start Sunday's game against the Dodgers in what's likely to be a bullpen day.
Seymour made nine starts at Triple-A Sacramento earlier in the season but has made all 24 of his appearances with the Giants to date out of the bullpen. He hasn't recorded more than five outs in any outing since Aug. 15, so the right-hander may be in line for just a 1-to-2-inning start in the season finale.

Jack Perkins RP | ATH
Athletics' Jack Perkins: Tagged for three homers in loss
Perkins (3-13) allowed six runs on five hits and three walks while striking out nine over five innings to take the loss versus the Astros on Saturday.
Perkins had largely put together a decent stretch run, but his season will end on a sour note. He gave up three home runs in this outing, accounting for all six of the runs on his line. Perkins ends 2026 with a 6.10 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 140:51 K:BB over 121 innings across 37 games (17 starts). He was a bit worse with a 6.75 ERA as a starter, though having a hitter-friendly home park certainly doesn't help.
