Robert Gasser SP | MIL
Brewers' Robert Gasser: Shuts down Rays in Game 3
Gasser earned the win in Game 3 of the World Series at Tampa Bay on Monday, giving up just one hit with three strikeouts and one walk across six scoreless innings.
Yandy Diaz crushed a 115.5-mph single to open the bottom of the first inning for the Rays, but Gasser didn't allow another hit and faced the minimum 18 batters through six frames thanks to a caught stealing and a groundball double play. The rookie left-hander has been Milwaukee's best starting pitcher during the playoffs, as he's surrendered just one run with a 9:3 K:BB over 15 innings.

Jackson Chourio LF | MIL
Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Four hits in Game 3 blowout
Chourio went 4-for-5 with a double, a stolen base, an RBI and two runs in Game 3 of the World Series against the Rays on Monday.
The 22-year-old provided infrequent but impactful hits early in the playoffs, batting .171 (6-for-35) with two homers and seven RBI in eight games between the division and championship series. Chourio has fully locked in for the World Series, going 8-for-14 with three steals, two RBI and four runs to help give Milwaukee a 3-0 series lead.

Griffin Jax SP | TB
Rays' Griffin Jax: Taking ball for Game 4
Jax will start Game 4 of the World Series against the Brewers on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Jax took the loss in his last playoff start against the Guardians in Game 3 of the ALCS, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over four innings of work. He'll face a scorching Milwaukee offense Tuesday as the Rays attempt to extend the series after dropping the first three games.

Richard Palacios 2B | TB
Rays' Richie Palacios: Out of Game 3 lineup
Palacios is not in the lineup Monday for Game 3 of the World Series versus the Brewers.
Palacios collected an .864 OPS between the ALDS and ALCS, but he's now started just one of the first three games of the Fall Classic. He will yield to Ben Williamson at second base in Game 3.

Liam Hicks C | TB
Rays' Liam Hicks: Not starting Game 3 against southpaw
Hicks is absent from the lineup Monday for Game 3 of the World Series against the Brewers.
The lefty-swinging Hicks homered in Game 2, but he'll begin Monday's festivities on the bench as the Brewers send left-hander Robert Gasser to the hill. Righty bat Nick Fortes will do the catching for the Rays in Game 3.

Jonathan Aranda 1B | TB
Rays' Jonathan Aranda: Taking seat versus lefty
Aranda is not in the lineup Monday for Game 3 of the World Series against the Brewers.
Aranda has reached base five times in the first two games of the series, but the left-handed batter will exit the lineup while the Brewers send a southpaw (Robert Gasser) to the bump. Ryan Vilade will hold down first base and will bat second for the Rays. Aranda is a good bet to enter mid-game Monday once the Brewers have a righty reliever in the contest.

Max Muncy 3B | ATH
Athletics' Max Muncy: Gets surgery on knee
Muncy underwent debridement surgery Friday to repair cartilage damage under the medial patella in his left knee.
Muncy was also administered a PRP injection, and the expectation is that he will be a full participant during spring training. The 24-year-old concluded the 2026 season having slashed .230/.296/.387 with nine home runs over 82 contests for the Athletics. Assuming health, Muncy will compete for playing time in the Athletics' infield in 2027.

Joey Loperfido LF | HOU
Astros' Joey Loperfido: Undergoes surgery on hip
Loperfido underwent arthroscopic surgery recently to repair a labral tear and impingment in his right hip, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
The expectation is that Loperfido will be delayed at the beginning of spring training, but it's unclear whether he will be ready to roll come Opening Day. Loperfido logged 121 plate appearances for the Astros in 2026, slashing .214/.311/.330 with just one home run. If healthy, the 27-year-old will compete for a spot on Houston's Opening Day roster.

Liam Hicks C | TB
Rays' Liam Hicks: Launches two-run homer
Hicks went 1-for-2 with a hit-by-pitch and a two-run home run in Game 2 of the World Series against the Brewers on Saturday.
The 27-year-old extended Tampa Bay's lead to 4-0 with a two-run blast during the first inning, though that finished the scoring for the Rays. Hicks also collected two RBI in Game 1, but that was in much different fashion with a pair of run-scoring groundouts. He went 3-for-20 in his first seven playoff games but has a .976 OPS with five RBI in the past four contests.

Logan Henderson SP | MIL
Brewers' Logan Henderson: Lasts three frames in Game 2
Henderson didn't factor into the decision in Game 2 of the World Series versus the Rays on Saturday, allowing four runs (three earned) on three hits with four strikeouts and one walk across three innings.
It was a disastrous first inning for the right-hander, who surrendered four runs on an error and three hits to the first five batters he faced, including a two-run homer by Liam Hicks. Henderson settled down and retired eight of the final nine batters he faced, but manager Pat Murphy still didn't hesitate to go to the bullpen after just three innings. After posting a 2.47 ERA in 18 regular-season starts, the playoffs have been a bit turbulent for Henderson, who has a 4.50 ERA and a 10:6 K:BB while lasting just 12 frames in three starts.
