Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said Toppin (ankle) is unlikely to play Friday against Boston, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Toppin sat out the second half of Thursday's 120-114 loss to the Thunder due to a left ankle sprain, finishing the contest with five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and three rebounds in seven minutes. The severity of Toppin's ankle sprain isn't yet known, but the Pacers aren't counting on him being available for the second leg of the back-to-back set. Jarace Walker would be a candidate for an expanded role Friday if Toppin is ultimately ruled out.
