Birch (knee) will not play in Sunday's matchup with the Celtics, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
Birch's absence will be his third straight while he continues to tend to a knee issue. As a result, Pascal Siakam, Precious Achiuwa and Chris Boucher figure to handle the majority of minutes at center in some fashion. Birch's next chance to return will be Tuesday against the Grizzlies.
