Melton will start Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Trevor Lane of LakersNation.com reports.
Brandin Podziemski won't suit up due to lower-back soreness, opening the door for Melton to enter the starting five. The 28-year-old guard started 24 games in the 2025-26 regular season, averaging 12.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.7 steals across 24.5 minutes per game in those outings.
