Brandon Weeden: Released by Texans

The Texans decided to release Weeden on Saturday, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports.

Weeden's only realistic route to the Texans' final roster was if they chose to carry three quarterbacks into the regular season. However, the team appears confident enough in projected starter Tom Savage and rookie Deshaun Watson to just go with two options under center.
