Chiefs' Elijah Mitchell: Not playing Week 14

Mitchell (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Texans.

Mitchell will be a healthy scratch for a third consecutive game, as the Chiefs will go with a three-man backfield Sunday in Kareem Hunt, Isiah Pacheco and Brashard Smith. Mitchell's next opportunity to play is Week 15 against the Chargers on Sunday, Dec. 14, though he's unlikely to play unless Hunt, Pacheco or Smith were to miss time.
