Devin Smith: Cut from Carolina's practice squad

Smith was released from the Panthers' practice squad Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.

Smith's release opened up room for the Panthers to add quarterback Josh Love to their practice squad. The Ohio State product has only appeared in one game this year (with Jacksonville), playing six offensive snaps and failing to haul in his only target. He will look to join his third team of the 2021 campaign.
