Jets' Braxton Berrios: Involved in opener

Berrios caught five of seven targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 19-14 loss to the Panthers. He added a 15-yard punt return.

Berrios filled in admirably for Jamison Crowder (illness) in the slot. He tied for the team lead in targets with Corey Davis, though Davis did much more with his opportunities, scoring both of the Jets' touchdowns. Berrios -- who is a former Patriots castoff -- could get an opportunity to exact some revenge on his former team in Week 2 if Crowder isn't cleared by then.
