Jets' Jeff Smith: Signs new contract

Smith signed a one-year contract with the Jets on Monday, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports.

Smith appeared in 12 games for the Jets last season, recording eight catches on 17 targets for 113 yards. It was a step backwards statistically from 2020 for the third-year pro, but he did see an increased role on special teams as a gunner on kickoffs and punts.
