Johnny Johnson: Doesn't make 53-man roster

Johnson was waived by Houston on Tuesday.

Johnson spent most of the 2023 campaign on the Texans' practice squad, though he did appear in the regular-season finale against the Colts, during which he played nine snaps (four on offense, five on special teams). He entered training camp competing for a depth wide receiver role, and across four preseason games he accrued four catches (on six targets) for 50 yards and one touchdown. Should he clear waivers, Johnson could be invited to stick around on the Texans' practice squad or look to land on a roster elsewhere.
