LeSean McCoy: Hoping for Philly return?

McCoy believes he could be a fit with the Eagles, Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. "I could see that," McCoy said Wednesday on NFL Network's Good Morning Football. "I'm going to keep my options open, though. I could see myself there in Philly. Like I said, that's home, so you never know."
Philadelphia's backfield is among the least experienced in the league, with 25-year-old Corey Clement serving as the elder statesmen while second-year pro Miles Sanders is the only one with 175 or more touches in the NFL. The soon-to-be 32-year-old McCoy lands on the other end of the spectrum, perhaps losing a couple steps after piling up 2,950 touches across 11 pro seasons. He averaged 4.6 yards on 101 carries for the Chiefs last year, but between fumbles (three) and his inefficient receiving work (6.5 yards per catch), McCoy found himself on the inactive list by the time the Chiefs reached the AFC Championship Game and then the Super Bowl. A return to Philadelphia likely would mean battling for backup work behind Sanders, with a spot on the 53-man roster not necessarily guaranteed.
