Lions' Mike Hughes: Ruled out for Week 8

Hughes (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

Hughes suffered the injury during the Lions' Week 7 loss to Dallas and was unable to practice throughout the week. He has held a consistent role in Detroit's secondary throughout the season, racking up 22 total tackles. Jerry Jacobs is likely to see an increased role as a result of Hughes' absence.
