Mekhi Sargent: Joins Los Angeles' practice squad

Sargent signed with the Rams' practice squad Friday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.

Sargent has seen few opportunities on the field during his NFL career (two rushing attempts), and the 24-year-old running back figures to be a depth piece for the Rams in case of multiple injuries to their backfield.
