Brown has been released by the Panthers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Brown's release comes just days after he signed with the Panthers. The veteran apparently didn't do enough in his short time with the team to convince Carolina to keep him going into the regular season, so he'll now hit the open market once again.
