Smith (undisclosed) was put on the Vikings' practice squad COVID list Thursday.
Smith will now be required to be away from the team until he can clear the league's protocols surrounding COVID-19. After appearing in his first game with the team since Week 10 last week, the cornerback will likely miss Week 16.
