Carr was promoted to the active roster Wednesday, per CapFriendly.
Carr will be on the Capitals' playoff roster. The 29-year-old registered one assist and 10 hits in six games for the Capitals this year. He could rotate in on the fourth line, but he shouldn't be expected to play much in the postseason.
