Stone signed a professional tryout contract with the Flames on Sunday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
If training camp goes well, Stone likely will receive an actual contract with the Flames before the season opener. The 30-year-old blueliner played 33 games with the team last season, posting two goals, five assists and a minus-5 rating.
