Islanders' Johnny Boychuk: Headed for long-term IR

Boychuk (eye) will be placed on long-term injured reserve by the Islanders, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports.

This should not come as a shock, as Boychuk's career ended due to an eye injury in 2020. This is the last season that Boychuk is under contract with the team.
