Fitzpatrick signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Panthers and was added to the taxi squad Friday.
Fitzpatrick has yet to make his NHL debut. The 23-year-old may receive a call-up to backup Sergei Bobrovsky in light of Jonas Johansson (COVID-19 protocols) and Spencer Knight's (COVID-19 protocols) absences.
