Jordan Kyrou C | STL
Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Lands on injured reserve
Kyrou (lower body) was designated for injured reserve Wednesday.
Kyrou is week-to-week, so his shift to injured reserve shouldn't come as a surprise. At this point, it seems likely that the 27-year-old winger will be out through the Christmas break, though an exact timeline for his return is unclear. To bolster the forward group in Kyrou's absence, the Blues signed Robby Fabbri on Wednesday to a two-way contract.

Pavel Dorofeyev RW | LV
Golden Knights' Pavel Dorofeyev: Buries game-tying goal
Dorofeyev scored a goal, had four shots on net, served two PIM and dished out three hits in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Islanders.
Dorofeyev delivered in the clutch Tuesday, as he scored the game-tying goal with 14 seconds remaining in the third period. His twine finder ended his longest goal drought of the season, stopping the slide at 10 games. The 25-year-old winger is up to 12 goals, 19 points and 79 shots on goal through 29 games this season. Despite his recent lack of goals, Dorofeyev picked up four of his seven assists this year during the goal drought. He currently occupies a middle-six role on the right wing, but could see a few role changes throughout the season, which gives him fluctuating fantasy value. For now, Dorofeyev is a solid option in most point-based formats.

Derick Brassard C | OTT
Derick Brassard: Unretires, signs with Swiss club
Brassard agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Geneve-Servette HC of Switzerland's National League on Wednesday, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports.
Brassard previously announced his retirement back in June of 2024. He last played in the NHL in the 2022-23 season as a member of the Senators. While a return to action at the top level in North America may not be in the cards, both Gabriel Landeskog and Jonathan Toews came back following extended stints away from the game due to health issues.

John Carlson D | WAS
Capitals' John Carlson: Could return Thursday
Head coach Spencer Carbery said Wednesday that Carlson (upper body) could play in Thursday's game against the Hurricanes, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Carlson has missed the last three games due to his upper-body injury, but he'll be in the mix to suit up in Thursday's home game. The Capitals will presumably monitor how he feels during and after Thursday's morning skate, and it wouldn't be surprising if he were a game-time decision. Over 26 appearances this season, Carlson has recorded six goals, 17 assists, 38 blocked shots, nine hits and six PIM while averaging 22:52 of ice time.

Ivan Barbashev LW | LV
Golden Knights' Ivan Barbashev: Lights the lamp Tuesday
Barbashev netted a goal and put two shots on target in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Islanders.
Barbashev tallied a goal less than 90 seconds into the third period to tie the game at 3-3. With the twine finder, he is up to 11 goals, 24 points, 49 shots on net and 44 hits through 29 games this season. The 29-year-old winger has four goals and seven points in his last nine outings. He is on track to contend for a 50-plus point season for the second consecutive year. His role as a goal-scorer and enforcer of sorts on Vegas' top line gives him solid all-around value in most fantasy leagues.

Jack Eichel C | LV
Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Plates two apples in loss
Eichel recorded two assists and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Islanders.
Eichel had the primary helper on Noah Hanifin's opening goal before picking up the secondary assist on a marker by Ivan Barbashev early in the third period. Eichel is up to 26 assists, 38 points and 114 shots on net through 29 games this season. The 29-year-old center has a pair of points in each of his last three games, tying him for eighth in the league in points. After a career-high 94 points through 77 regular-season games a year ago, Eichel should contend for a similar number this season while leading one of the league's best offensive groups.

Thomas Chabot D | OTT
Senators' Thomas Chabot: Skipping road trip
Chabot (upper body) will not travel with the Senators for their upcoming three-game road trip, Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia reports Wednesday.
At this point, Chabot may be better served sitting out until after the Christmas break, as he will have missed 14 of the team's last 15 contests by the time the club is back in Ottawa. Still, the Quebec native would be a strong addition to the Sens' blue line, considering he has racked up 10 points in 18 games this year.

Mitchell Marner RW | LV
Golden Knights' Mitch Marner: Tallies pair of points
Marner tallied a goal, distributed an assist, put five shots on net and served two PIM in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Islanders.
Marner scored in the back half of the first period before earning the primary helper on Pavel Dorofeyev's game-tying goal in the final minute of the third frame. Marner has six goals, 23 assists and 53 shots on net through 29 games this season. After an up-and-down stretch of production in November, the 28-year-old winger has eight points in his last seven outings. He's currently tied for ninth in the NHL in assists, and if he can stay healthy, Marner should have another elite season for fantasy purposes.

Igor Shesterkin G | NYR
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Between pipes against Chicago
Shesterkin will defend the road crease against Chicago on Wednesday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Shesterkin has been consistent across the past few weeks, as he's gone 5-1-1 with a 2.29 GAA and a .923 save percentage over his last seven starts. He'll attempt to remain effective against a Blackhawks team that ranks 19th in the league this season with 2.97 goals per game.

Noah Hanifin D | LV
Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Nets opening goal Tuesday
Hanifin scored a goal, fired three shots on net and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Islanders.
Hanifin put Vegas on the scoresheet midway through the opening period with his second goal of the season. He's up to six points, 50 shots on goal and 34 blocks through 19 appearances this season. While the offense hasn't been at the same level as his past four seasons, he's remained a solid option in fantasy through his volume of shots, blocks and ice time. Hanifin should continue to see top-four minutes for the Golden Knights and is trending upward offensively after posting two points in his last three games.
