Schmid is set to start on the road against Calgary on Saturday, per Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Schmid has won his past two games while stopping 41 of 43 shots (.953 save percentage). He's 11-2-4 with a 2.33 GAA and a .903 save percentage in 17 outings this year, including a 19-save shutout over the Flames on Oct. 14. Despite his success, he's shifted to the No. 2 role behind Carter Hart, who is expected to start Sunday in Edmonton.

Hart is slated to serve as the starting netminder for Sunday's road game against Edmonton, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Hart has been solid since joining the Golden Knights, as he's gone 3-0-2 with a 2.26 GAA and .917 save percentage over his first five starts of the season. He'll face his toughest opponent yet during Sunday's matchup, as the Oilers currently rank third in the NHL with 3.40 goals per game.

Theodore (upper body) will not travel with the team on its two-game road trip this weekend and is considered week-to-week at this time, Hanah Kirkell of Vegas Hockey Now reports Friday.

Theodore missed Wednesday's game against New Jersey and is likely out until the New Year. He got off to a slow start with five assists in his first 14 games, but he's upped his offensive production since then, tallying four goals and 11 assists in his last 17 games. Jeremy Lauzon returned to action Wednesday after missing 14 games, taking Theodore's place in the lineup.

Eichel (illness) is day-to-day with a lower-body injury and won't join the Knights for their two-game road trip, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Friday.

At this point, Eichel could just be held out through the Christmas break in order to give him some extra time to get back to 100 percent, though he hasn't been officially ruled out for Tuesday's home clash with the Sharks. While the 29-year-old center has scored just once in his last five games, he has racked up eight helpers over that stretch, including three with the man advantage. Tomas Hertl figures to hold down the first-line center role while Eichel is unavailable.

Marchessault (lower body) is considered day-to-day ahead of Saturday's clash with the Maple Leafs, Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean reports.

Marchessault logged just 5:27 of ice time before being forced to exit Wednesday's matchup with the Hurricanes due to his lower-body injury. With a back-to-back against the Leafs and Rangers on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, it may be an all-or-nothing situation for the veteran winger, even though he was classified as day-to-day.

Fleury (concussion) is expected to be taken off injured reserve and play Friday in Colorado.

Fleury hasn't been in the lineup since Nov. 11. He has no points, 11 shots, 22 hits and 26 blocks in 15 appearances this season. Fleury is projected to serve on the third pairing alongside Logan Stanley. Luke Schenn is set to be a healthy scratch after playing in Winnipeg's past six games.

Dostal will be between the home pipes versus Dallas on Friday, per Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune.

Dostal has had a solid campaign in 2025-26, posting a 12-6-1 record with a 2.73 GAA and a .905 save percentage in 19 starts. The Stars are fourth in NHL scoring, generating 3.34 goals per game.

Cates scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres.

Cates tied the game at 1-1 with a goal just 58 seconds after Jack Quinn opened the scoring for the Sabres. Over nine games in December, Cates has four points, 17 shots on net, nine hits and eight blocked shots. He's been a reliable middle-six forward for the Flyers once again, earning eight goals, 17 points, 62 shots, 32 hits, 28 blocks and a plus-12 rating over 33 outings this season. He does just enough to be on the fringe of fantasy rosters in standard formats and offers well-rounded production for managers in deeper leagues.

Samuelsson registered two assists in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Flyers.

Samuelsson set up Jack Quinn for the opening goal and Ryan McLeod for an empty-netter. This performance ended a nine-game point drought for Samuelsson, who had been surprisingly productive on offense prior to the slump. He's already matched his career high of 14 points, doing so in half as many games as last year. He's added 44 shots on net, 40 hits, 66 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating through 31 appearances in 2025-26.

Quinn scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Flyers.

Quinn has a goal and two assists over the last three games. He hadn't scored since Nov. 26 versus the Penguins, but the 24-year-old forward pick up four assists over nine contests during the goal drought. For the season, he's at seven goals, 18 points, 61 shots on net and a minus-6 rating over 33 appearances. He's on track to top the 40-point mark for the first time in his career, a threshold he fell just short of in 2024-25.
