MaxPreps 2018-19 preseason Top 100 high school basketball teams

California, Texas, Georgia, Florida and Pennsylvania dominate list of high school's best hoops squads.

Breaking down the national contenders heading into the 2018-19 season.

Last month, we released our Top 25 Preseason basketball rankings and now it's time to dig deeper and take a look at the 100 best high school basketball programs heading into the 2018-19 season.

Five states — California, Texas, Georgia, Florida and Pennsylvania claim nearly a third of the field. The Golden State leads the way with nine teams, a slim lead over the Lone Star State's eight. The Peach State has the third most with seven teams represented, while the Keystone State and Sunshine State each have six teams.

Ohio and New Jersey are the only other two states to have at least five teams selected, with the WCAC conference with five top 100 programs as well.

Thirty-one states are represented overall, 32 including Washington, D.C., with 23 of them having multiple teams selected. ...
