Blue Jays pitcher Brandon Morrow has been diagnosed with a torn tendon in his injured finger, MLB.com reports. The Blue Jays transferred him to the 60-day disabled list after Saturday's game.
A timetable hasn't been announced for Morrow's recovery, but the transaction will keep him out until at least early July. The team will wait to see how the injury heals before determining whether he needs surgery, MLB.com reports.
If surgery is deemed necessary, Morrow would be knocked out of commission for the remainder of the season. He owns a 5.93 ERA and 26:17 K:BB ratio in 27 1/3 innings.
