Yankees manager Joe Girardi said after Sunday's game that pitcher David Phelps has been dealing with elbow inflammation for several starts over the past three or four weeks, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Phelps underwent an MRI a few weeks ago which showed no ligament damage. While he may miss his next start after lasting just two innings Sunday, Girardi isn't worried about the pitcher's long-term health.
