Matt Albers to throw simulated game Friday

Astros pitcher Matt Albers is scheduled to throw a simulated game Friday after completing a bullpen session Tuesday without issue, MLB.com reports.

Albers has been cleared to return from the disabled list after dealing with a shoulder issue, but the team appears to want one more look at him in a controlled setting before bringing him back. He has surrendered just one earned run in 10 innings.
