Mets SP Bartolo Colon allows six runs in losing effort

Mets starting pitcher Bartolo Colon allowed six earned runs in a losing effort against the Blue Jays on Thursday.

Colon (9-5) threw 4 1/3 innings, allowing nine hits and six earned runs. He allowed a home run to Blue Jays left fielder Chris Colabello at the top of the fifth inning, which ended his day.

The poor performance elevated Colon's ERA to 4.81 on the season.
