Orioles LF Steve Pearce goes yard in defeat of Red Sox

Batting ninth in the lineup, Orioles left fielder Steve Pearce went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's 6-5 victory over the Red Sox.

Pearce has struggled offensively most of the season, but his bat has shown some signs of life lately. The veteran has now reached safely in five consecutive contests, with two homers and four RBI in that span.
