Rays SP Chris Archer gets torched in loss to Blue Jays

Rays starter Chris Archer got hammered by the Blue Jays on Saturday, coughing up nine runs on 10 hits and five walks over 3 2/3 innings while striking out three.

The Jays launched two homers off him en route to a five-run first inning, setting the tone for a wild 10-8 win for Toronto. Archer will get a shot at revenge next Saturday when the Rays host the Jays in the final game of the regular season.
