Struggling outfielder Daniel Nava has been demoted from the Red Sox to Triple-A Pawtucket, according to radio station WEEI. His first two-hit game of the season Tuesday apparently could not save him.

Nava is 3 for 21 in his last six games and owns a terrible .149/.240/.269 stat line. The numbers represent a tremendous drop from those he achieved in a breakout 2013, during which he batted .303 with 12 home runs, 66 RBI and 77 runs in 458 at-bats.
