Twins starting pitcher Mike Pelfrey is off to a slow start in 2015 and general manager Terry Ryan said he expects better from his right hander, reports the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
"He can do better. We expect him to do better," Ryan said. "I wasn't worried about his pace. I was worried about him putting away hitters."
In two starts this season, Pelrey has allowed five earned runs in 10 innings (4.50 ERA) with four strike outs and five walks.
