X-rays of the forearm of Yankees starting pitcher David Phelps were negative, and his injury has been classified as a forearm contusion, the team announced Friday.

Phelps may be able to make his next start Wednesday depending on how the forearm feels in the next few days. He's 3-2 with a 3.96 ERA and 49:18 K:BB ratio.
