Cubs' Ozzie Martinez: Placed on disabled list Tuesday
Martinez was placed on the 7-day minor-league disabled list Tuesday, Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register reports.
It's currently unclear as to what injury Martinez is dealing with, but he'll be sidelined nonetheless. The 29-year-old is hitting just .226 over 44 games with Triple-A Iowa this season.

Orioles' Ozzie Martinez: Reassigned to minor league camp
Martinez (head) was reassigned to minor league camp Saturday.
He has not played in the big leagues since 2011, and is likely ticketed for Triple-A Norfolk to serve as organizational depth in the middle infield. Martinez is also recovering from getting hit in the head by a liner in a Grapefruit League game earlier this week.

Orioles' Ozzie Martinez: Left Sunday's game with head injury
Martinez left Sunday's Grapefruit League game after taking an elbow to the head while in the field, MASN Sports reports.
Martinez stayed down for a while before walking off under his own power. This has signs of being a concussion and we should no more within the next day or so. Martinez was trying to make the team as a non-roster invitee, but he was likely destined to begin the season at Double-A or Triple-A.

Orioles' Ozzie Martinez: Receives non-roster invitation to Orioles' spring training
Martinez will attend Orioles' spring training as a non-roster invitee, Eduardo A. Encina of The Baltimore Sun reports.
The 27-year-old Puerto Rican has played 942 games at the minor league level but only 34 in the big leagues. In 2015 with Double-A Bowie, he hit .252 with 48 runs and 30 RBI in 477 plate appearances. The journeyman will have a difficult time finding playing time given his limited production in the MLB, even if he receives a roster spot.

Orioles' Ozzie Martinez: Signs minor league deal with Orioles
Martinez signed a minor league contract with the Orioles on Tuesday, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
He will receive an invitation to spring training as part of the deal. The Orioles are the fifth organization Martinez has passed through, despite being just 27 years old. He will offer organizational middle infield depth.
