Mets' Akeem Bostick: Sent to Triple-A
Bostick cleared waivers and was outrighted the Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.
Bostick was designated for assignment Friday but will remain in the organization after clearing waivers. He'll return to Syracuse, where where he has a 6.21 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 29:23 K:BB over 37.2 innings this season.

Mets' Akeem Bostick: Designated for assignment
Bostick was designated for assignment Friday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
Bostick was called up for the first time Wednesday and made his big-league debut the next day, tossing a single scoreless inning of relief. Given that he had a 6.21 ERA at the Triple-A level prior to his promotion, he seemingly stands a good chance of passing through waivers unclaimed.

Mets' Akeem Bostick: Getting first big-league call-up
The Mets will select Bostick's contract from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of Wednesday's game against Atlanta, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
New York will need to open up spots on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for Bostick, and they'll presumably do that by designating Jerad Eickhoff for assignment for the third time this season after he was rocked for 10 runs across 3.1 innings in Tuesday's 12-5 loss. Due to the short start from Eickhoff and a doubleheader two days earlier, the Mets' bullpen has been overworked of late, so Bostick should give the team some much-needed length in relief. The 26-year-old has typically served as a starter for Syracuse this season, posting a 6.21 ERA and 1.77 WHIP across 37.2 innings over his 10 appearances.

Cardinals' Akeem Bostick: Nabs spot in St. Louis roster pool
The Cardinals signed Bostick to a minor-league contract Tuesday.
Bostick will get a spot in the Cardinals' 60-man roster pool and will report to the team's alternate training site in Springfield. The right-handed pitcher, who previously joined the Cardinals for spring training, spent the 2019 campaign in the Astros organization. He pitched exclusively at Triple-A Round Rock, posting a 7.28 ERA and 1.75 WHIP over 80.1 innings.

Akeem Bostick: Cut loose by Cards
Bostick was released by the Cardinals in March, Baseball America reports.
The 62nd overall pick by the Rangers back in 2013, Bostick was traded to Houston in 2015 and was released by the Astros late last season before joining the Cardinals on a minor-league pact. He has never made it past the Triple-A level.

Cardinals' Akeem Bostick: Joins Cardinals' camp
Bostick signed with the Cardinals as a non-roster invitee Friday.
Bostick will join big-league camp but seemingly doesn't have much chance of opening the season on the big-league roster. In 80.1 innings for Triple-A Round Rock in the Astros' system last season, he stumbled to a 7.28 ERA and a 10.9 percent walk rate.

Astros' Akeem Bostick: On DL with hand issue
Bostick was placed on the 7-day disabled list Saturday with a hand injury, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Bostick left Friday night's game after recording just one out in what appears to have been the aggravating event. The 22-year-old righty was making just his second appearance with Double-A Corpus Christi after receiving a promotion last month and had begun to show potential as an established starter. The severity of the injury is unknown at this point, but Bostick will look to improve upon his 3.28 ERA when he returns.
