Royals' Jose Briceno: Reassigned to minor-league camp

Briceno was reassigned Tuesday to the minor-league side of Royals camp. Fellow catchers Tyler Cropley, Logan Porter and Jakson Reetz were also sent out in this round of cuts. Kansas City's official Opening Day roster is just about set.

Royals' Jose Briceno: Re-ups with Kansas City

Briceno re-signed with the Royals on a minor-league contract Wednesday. Briceno spent all of the 2022 campaign at Triple-A Omaha, putting up a .702 OPS with four homers across 141 plate appearances. Barring a major surprise, he'll be heading back to Omaha again to start 2023.
