Orioles' Rodolfo Martinez: Cut loose by Orioles
Martinez (undisclosed) was released by Baltimore on Sept. 4.
Martinez appeared in 16 games at Triple-A Norfolk this season, recording a 4.96 ERA and 1.99 WHIP with 21 strikeouts across 16.1 innings. He missed a good chunk of the season while on the mend from an undisclosed injury and hadn't yet returned from a rehab assignment before being handed his release.

Orioles' Rodolfo Martinez: In camp with Baltimore
The Orioles signed Martinez to a minor-league contract Nov. 1 that includes an invitation to spring training.
Martinez, 30, has yet to pitch in the majors and spent the 2024 season in the Mexican League, where he held a 5.79 ERA and 15:9 K:BB over 18.2 innings. The righty reliever told Jake Rill of MLB.com that his fastball typically sits in the 100-102 mph range and he once hit 104 mph while pitching in Japan, so he could turn some heads this spring. In all likelihood, however, Martinez will open the season at Triple-A Norfolk.

Giants' Rodolfo Martinez: Season marred by trips to disabled list
Martinez (oblique) is currently on the disabled list due to his oblique injury, but also missed time earlier this season due to a muscle injury in his shoulder, J.J. Cooper of Baseball America reports.
Martinez has really been beaten up this season, being limited to only 8.0 innings for Double-A Richmond. Last season, the reliever spent half the season at the Double-A level and recorded an ERA of 6.65 with 17 strikeouts in 23.0 innings. Even in his limited time this season, his numbers have been similar to last season with a 5.63 ERA and five strikeouts.
