Twins' Tanner Morris: Elects to retire
Morris was placed on the voluntary retired list by Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
The right-hander was acquired from the Blue Jays in early April but opted to retire after going 6-for-45 through 14 games with St. Paul. Morris broke through to the Triple-A level in 2022 but was unable to make his way to the big leagues.

Twins' Tanner Morris: Traded to Minnesota
The Twins acquired Morris from the Blue Jays on Monday in exchange for cash considerations, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.
Morris had fallen into a reserve role with Triple-A Buffalo, but the Twins evidently see more of an opportunity for him at Triple-A St. Paul. The 26-year-old has some positional versatility and on-base skills but very little power or speed.

Blue Jays' Tanner Morris: Sees action in Grapefruit League
Morris (undisclosed) made his first appearance of the Blue Jays' Grapefruit League schedule in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Phillies, going 0-for-1 with a strikeout and a run scored while playing three innings at third base.
Morris isn't a serious candidate to win a spot on the Blue Jays' Opening Day roster, but his usage in the Grapefruit League game at least confirms that he's healthy again after an unspecified injury sidelined him at Triple-A Buffalo from Aug. 6 onward last season. Before picking up the injury, the infield slashed .258/.399/.353 with five home runs and one stolen base in 312 plate appearances between stops at Buffalo and Double-A New Hampshire.

Blue Jays' Tanner Morris: Stuck on IL
Morris was placed on Triple-A Buffalo's 7-day injured list Aug. 10 due to an unspecified injury.
The 24-year-old infielder is without a clear timeline for a return. Following his early June promotion from Double-A New Hampshire, Morris had struggled in his first taste of International League ball. He slashed .173/.352/.173 with no extra-base hits while going 0-for-2 on stolen-base attempts across 126 plate appearances for Buffalo.

Blue Jays' Tanner Morris: Moves up to Triple-A
The Blue Jays promoted Morris from Double-A New Hampshire to Triple-A Buffalo on Wednesday, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.
The 24-year-old earned his promotion after slashing .312/.430/.468 with five home runs and a 30:30 BB:K across 186 plate appearances for New Hampshire. Morris split time in relatively even fashion between second base and third base and will likely continue to get work at both positions at Triple-A.
