Top Alex De Jesus News

  • Blue Jays' Alex De Jesus: Headed north of border

De Jesus was traded from the Dodgers to the Blue Jays on Tuesday along with Mitch White in exchange for Nick Frasso and Moises Brito, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

De Jesus was one of a half dozen interesting infielders in full-season ball with no clear path to playing time for the Dodgers, so this move could end up giving him a clearer path to playing time down the road. He hit .282/.376/.421 with four home runs in 50 games as a 20-year-old at High-A.

  • Dodgers' Alex De Jesus: Hits for cycle in High-A

De Jesus went 4-for6 with a home run, a triple, a double, four total RBI and four total runs for High-A Great Lakes against Wisconsin on Thursday.

De Jesus began the campaign with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga before being promoted to Great Lakes on May 31. Thursday marked his best game of the campaign, as his hits, runs and RBI tallies were season highs. De Jesus is slashing .269/.356/.462 with two homers and eight RBI in 59 plate appearances at the High-A level.
